Our tap room porter brewed with extra malt to increase the ABV up to 10%. We aged the finished beer on a special blend of Tugboat coffee, and to further the breakfast feel this beer already had, we added maple syrup.

16oz can, no apparent freshness date. Thanks to my friend, Ken, for giving me a can to try. Black pour with a foamy brown head. Bold maple aroma with coffee and chocolate in the background, but the maple dominates. For flavor, it's all maple as well, very sweet; dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, and toffee round out the flavors. Full body, sweet and sticky, lower carbonation, maple lingers through the finish. Good flavors, but it's too sweet for me. In my opinion there's too much maple and it overpowers all the porter flavors that could have been.

Draft at More
L: Very dark, little bit of tan head.
S: Maple and coffee, really great.
T: Very strong coffee, a little bit of maple sweetness. The coffee is so strong that the maple is really more of an aroma than a flavor. This is not a bad thing.
F: Quite thick, thicker than most 10% stouts/porters.
O: Outstanding beer. As good as any coffee/maple stout I've ever had. The coffee and maple amounts are dialed in perfectly. The only bad thing about it is that I only bought one 4-pack, which I'm now regretting.

Everything it’s advertised to be. Better than Double Stack.
