We hosted my husband's 50th birthday party at More Brewing Company in Villa Park on January 11, 2025, with high expectations. The venue itself was lovely, but unfortunately, the food service was a disaster—and the complete lack of follow-up has been even more disappointing.

We coordinated in advance with their team, including Dylan the event planner, to arrange food for 80 guests (50 non-vegetarian, 30 vegetarian). Yet on the day of the event, approximately 25 guests—including my husband and me—were left without food. That’s nearly one-third of our party.

When we flagged this to the staff during the event, the response was baffling: they claimed guests "overate," and some vegetarians allegedly ate meat dishes, contributing to the shortage. We had to scramble to arrange food from a local restaurant at the last minute so our guests wouldn’t leave hungry. Needless to say, this overshadowed the celebration we had planned for months.

What’s worse, I followed up multiple times with the ownership (Sunny and Perry Patel) over the last few months. Despite promises to "get back after checking with the team," they never followed through. I sent multiple emails, offered guest feedback and evidence of the shortage, and still received no resolution or even a basic acknowledgment.

It’s incredibly disappointing when a business doesn't take accountability—especially for private events where hosts trust that guests will be taken care of. I’m sharing this review so that others planning important events can make informed decisions.

If you’re considering More Brewing Company for a private event, I strongly suggest clarifying everything in writing and having backup plans—because if something goes wrong, you may not hear from them again.

This place never disappoints. The staff is friendly but the food and beer are even better (sorry! :))) They are constantly coming out with new beers and even make beers to support causes like Breast Cancer research. A true gem

Beer is always on point and service is good. Food can be hit and miss.

Stopped by on the way to GTMW. Food was great, taplist was fairly haze-heavy, but they were good. Pretty empty for lunch on a Thursday, but that's the way we like it. Grabbed some to-go stuff as well.

Stopped in here with a buddy after an excursion to Elmhurst. It's a large, open space, plenty of tables in front of the lengthy bar. Some screens, plenty of wood, it's a beer hall-type o' deal, kidz. Range is pretty solid, though we focused mainly on the barrel-aged stouts (sorry, we're weird tickers, sue us), which were all pretty much damn good. Right on. The staff were rather amenable to our needs, and even dealt with our giggling asses (look, we were both tired after a long day, and the stouts were starting to get to us). Finally had food for once, this time some tasty samosas (can't go wrong with some Indian classics when you're rocking a vegetarian lifestyle). Good times. Overall, though lacking the quirkiness of nearby Lunar, this place is more than welcome in the area.

I love this place. Great Beer, Great Staff. I'll continue to go back, for the beer, and the food is great. The Indian dishes are delicious. This is my go to brewery.

 

 

A nice big, square shaped open space, with a decent size bar, a ton of tables and chairs for seating. Some TV's sitting above the bar for nice sports viewing. I was there toward the end of the evening last Fall during post season baseball and really enjoyed watching a Houston Astros game at the bar. I stuck primarily to IPA's and Pale Ales, all of which were very good. I had a Festbier that was decent, but the hoppy beers definitely outshined. IPA-heavy selection as well. I didn't eat a lot of food while I was there, but I had the tacos, which were very good. Definitely a must hit if you are in the area.

 

 

Avoid this brewery - they are run by sexists. My wife purchased a beer separate from me at a release. After paying, More wouldn't give her the beer she bought because I got one and they literally said she should be good since I got one - a really sexist comment that shocked us. Apparently women can’t have their own beer. They also kept the money and wouldn't refund. I tried to seek resolution of this privately and the owner acknowledged the situation and the brewer, who later quit, apologized for such ridiculous behavior of their management. The business managers and owners then decided not to handle the situation, ignoring and avoiding email/Facebook messages, rather than take responsibility for their sexism by apologizing to my wife or even refunding her money or giving her the beer she paid for. In fact, More decided to block us on Facebook over sharing the story publicly. Absolutely ridiculous. I can now see why Phase 3 highlights HONEST beer as their tagline after their brewer quit More.

 

 

 

Food was great, overall vibe was nice. Service was good on a pretty busy day. Really enjoyed my visit here. The beers were good to really good overall, other than Henna which was great.

Second time here. Tap list is very low today (4) but we're coming off Memorial Day weekend, so no biggie. The beer is always solid. Usually lots of variety. I had food last time and it was good. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. I wish I could stop in more often given my wife grew up in Villa Park...just not many ties left to the town.

This refreshingly modern place blends restaurant and craft beer bar fairly seamlessly, with well-placed barrels here or there coming across like decoration, while they actually may be getting some use out of them. There are way more tables than bar seats, but the bar is quite long and the taplist is decent, with some guest options to support their quickly disappearing specialty taps. Bar staff was hustling like no other, because I guess there was some kind of release and the place was blowing up at 11AM on a Friday morning. The beer was all well made but the food was my biggest take away. The food was totally scrumptious, leaning Indian, and very well made, presented, and quickly prepared.

 

 

 

First time here. Really liked the design of the interior. Somewhat packed even for a Monday. Food was impressive. I had the pulled pork sandwich with cheese curds. Good selection of their IPAs. Wish they had a few more options, but it's hard to expect a ton of taps from a small brewery. Server was nice and helped with beer selection. Picking up a beer from online lottery was a breeze.

 

 

 

 

Only 5 of their own beers on tap alongside 2 4-packs left for consumer sale. Disappointed by that; however, due to their beer quality I understand why the kick/run out so quickly.

Parking difficult at this busy place. Great service with 7 beers on tap and 4 guests. Nice friendly vibe in quaint area. Decent menu. Good beer. I like

 

 

Great BA beers when available. The others are very good as well. Food is a limited menu but very good. Cheese curds are a must.

10/13/18 (Villa Park): My first visit after hearing very positive feedback regarding beer. The bar area is modern, beer offerings limited in both count and style. The two I tried were very good. The food was excellent (had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with curds). They have growlers and crowlers to go, I took home four offerings. The service was very friendly, prompt and the staff like interacting with customers. Crowd mostly 20s-30s suburbanites. Good music and a few muted tvs playing sports. Not convenient for me to get to, this was well worth the trip and I look forward to future visits when I see new releases worth checking out.

 

 

 

 

They had 4 of their beers on tap. Just 4. They were pretty good, but not much to choose from. Place is really nice, though. Service was good, and the beers I tried were solid. I was just really disappointed with the lack of selection.

 

pretty crowded the two times (in one weekend) i visited due to DLD weekend and the BA Henna releases but still a fun time. did not try any food but the beers were good, the space was cool and the service was really good, especially considering the crowd. would like to get back there again when it’s a little more chill.
