16 oz. can that pours coconut black with a thin, pancaked head. The nose is rich coconut & a sharp, acrid edge of roast.
Coconut City stays right down the middle line of its name. COCONUT! I know people who swear no beer has enough coconut, but I’ll wager they haven’t had this beer. Strong chocolate with a foundation of roasty malt lend depth along with finish of ghostly vanilla sweetness. Creamy & rich. Split with my wife, an 8 ounce pour is perfect.
While I cannot speak to the intention of the brewery, based on the name it appears they nailed what they were going for. Solid beer.

poured into a taster glass via draft at Other Half's Pastry Town (3/16/2019)
Color is a fine shade of dark amber brown
Smell is faint coconut, mixed in with milk chocolate and vanilla extract
Taste is more chocolate than coconut..was hoping for more of the latter..too subdued for my tastes..that being said id love to try this again as my palette was getting wrecked by this point in the festival

The nutty roast here is strong, almost hickory-esque, before smooth coconut and creamy vanilla come with the assist, ribboning through the medium body, which has a thin crisp fizz, mild heat and dry finish. The coconut is a little floral, and hints of nougat develop chocolate candy bar vibes at times.

Had on tap at the brewery. Wow, this was a good one. Deep dark roasty chocolate, really creamy and enough of a kick to warm you. The coconut was there but it was not overwhelming. Excellent beer.
