A new addition to our stout lineup! This thick imperial stout brewed with the first runnings from a double mash. Complex notes of dark chocolate, espresso, dark caramel and rich malt. Very full body with a warm roasty finish.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at More Brewing Co on May 17, 2019. Look is dark brown with a creamy tan head and sticky lacing. Smell and taste is chocolate, coffee and caramel. Feel is full in body.

On tap at the brewery - Villa Park, IL. Thick, pitch black pour with a thin tan head. Rich and roasty aroma hinting at dark chocolate, coffee, burnt caramel, and roasted barley. Flavors are rich and balanced with notes of dark chocolate, dark espresso, brown sugar, rummy booze, roasted barley, earthy hops, toffee, molasses, raisin; faint leathery tobacco and pepper. Crazy full and sticky, smooth body; carbonation is lower, finish is sweet but has enough earthy bitterness to balance it out. Phenomenal Imperial Stout here. A must try!

Dark burnt motor oil with a mocha head.
A touch of marshmallow up front quickly drifts into super roasty, almost smoky hickory chip-like character that thankfully veers into mixed nuts.
The creamy, soft and full body is viscous and silky with a semi-dry, slightly sticky finish. Giving it another sip the thickness becomes even more apparent. And then moreso still. Arketype is thick af and feels like pudding frankly. I know we all want our stouts to be bigger, thicker, uncut, and all that, but this is starting to get out of hand.
