From the 16 oz can in a snifter with a big thanks to Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This excellent milk stout pours a pitch black with a moderate head of tan foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and displays some light lacing. Nose of
dark coffee, subtle char, sweet cream, and brulee notes dashed with caramel.
Flavors are on point for the style with mellow dark coffee, sweet cream, light
char, deep roast, dark chocolate, brulee, and dark berry notes of blackberry
and blueberry doused in caramel malts. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich,
coating, very light carbonation, and a sweet and lightly bitter malt finish.
Overall, stunning balance and not cloying. British in mouth feel.
Just flat out stunning for a straight forward milk coffee stout!
PERFECT!

16 ounce can, no dating that I could find on the can or label. Label says 7.0% ABV. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so frothy tan head that stayed around a long time. Decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the coffee stands out to me and there's also some cream and dark chocolate noticeable. The taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some roasted malt, caramel and malted milk balls flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this milk stout, it's a good overall brew that's worth trying if you get the chance.

Good morning beer geeks! We're rising and shining with the coffee-centric flavor of Dark Matter coffee injected into a stronger milk stout for a beer that's as much of a pick-me-up as it is a put-me-down.
Hush of Night comes out roaring with an onyx-black pour and while building a dense tan froth. With a bolder dark coffee scent than is usual for even roasty, toasty stouts, but its sweeter taste is creamy, soothing and velvet-like. Natural roast of stout bleeds into the coffee editions seamlessly while and undercurrent of malt is almost coconut-like. Trending somberly bitter with a rounded woodsy balance, the session closes coffee forward and silky smooth.
Full bodied, pillow with nougat tastes and textures, the milk stout finishes malty, plush and soothing like cappuccino.

Black with almost no head.Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and raisin. Taste follows nose with a lot stronger taste of raisin and a bit of a hop bite in the finish. Body is syrupy. Almost no carbonation. Not bad but just doesn't work for me.

Released 10/27/23; drank 11/21/23 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
An even pour yielded a big tan head; decent lacing remained.
Dark roast coffee bean, mild fresh earth & faint cream notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.
Dark roast coffee bean, mild cream & faint raspberry flavors.
Overall, not a bad milk stout...I just wish they'd use a better roaster. I'm not a Dark Matter fan.

Appearance: Pours a completely black color with a strong tan head. SRM of 24. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of coffee upfront. Dark roast. This is mixed with mocha and some chocolate. Faint cinnamon and cream underneath. (3.75)
Flavor: Strong flavors of rich chocolate, balanced by coffee in the middle, but ultimately finishes with a rich and decadent chocolate flavor. Milder roast than the nose and leans sweet. (4.00)
Feel: Leans heavier bodied, low carbonation. Drinks slightly heavy and sweet. Thick mouthfeel. (4.00)
Compared to 3 Sheeps 15-2 2/2023: Pours similar, milder head. Stronger aromas. More dark coffee roast. Less dark chocolate and richness. More malty, but less dark. Similar sweetness. Heavier and less complex.
Compared to Founders Breakfast Stout 2/2023: Pours similar appearance, stronger head. Milder aromas. More dark coffee notes. Less coffee roast and coffee overall. Darker, heavier, and sweeter. Less bitter.
Overall: A pretty good breakfast stout here. Nice dark roast coffee aromas from the Dark Matter Coffee, but settles down a bit on the flavor which is nice. It has dark chocolate and coffee flavors. Heavier, lower carbonation. Thick mouthfeel which helps. Dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, and oats in a glass. Very nice. (Rating: 3.94+)

Aroma is coffee, chocolate and nutty dark malts. The flavor is chocolate/milk chocolate, slight lactose, coffee and a mildly sweet/acidic/roasted malt finish.

16oz can. No dating information on can or on label.
Black colored body. Brief fizzy dark tan head, but most of the session is presented with a moderately active bubble fed surface. Leaves behind some lacing spots but all of these eventually slide down into the body.
Aroma of roasted oats and coffee. Almost a smoked malt smell, and some chocolate.
Taste again is suggestive of a smoked malt, but this is likely a combination of the roasted oats and the deep expressive coffee. There is an edge of sweetness, probably from the chocolate and base oats. Not really any bitterness.
Very smooth and a little above medium mouth feel. Okay carbonation.
This is a milk stout with an emphasis on the dark roasted coffee. Smooth and creamy.

32oz crowler, picked up at the Villa Park location today. Dark brown body with a foamy khaki head that holds good retention. Roasty aroma with baker's chocolate and coffee. Excellent flavors with this one: chocolate, roasted barley, caramely grain, caramel, creamed coffee, leafy hops. Soft & creamy full body, ample carbonation, perfectly balanced finish. This was very enjoyable...my only complaint would be that it could use more coffee.

Had this on tap at the brewery. The look was a dark black. The aroma was strong coffee from the coffee blend form Dark Matter. Very nice. The taste was good but i thought it would be a little more coffee based on the smell. The coffee was there along with some roasted malt and a little sweetness. A touch thin.
