Hush of Night is the little sibling of our Imperial Milk Stout Nighttide. This version is blended with "Chocolate City" coffee brewed by our friends at Dark Matter Coffee.

Released 10/27/23; drank 11/21/23 @ the Yarchives.

Black/brown appearance.

An even pour yielded a big tan head; decent lacing remained.

Dark roast coffee bean, mild fresh earth & faint cream notes in the nose.

Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.

Dark roast coffee bean, mild cream & faint raspberry flavors.

Overall, not a bad milk stout...I just wish they'd use a better roaster. I'm not a Dark Matter fan.

Poured a black body with minimal head and lace down the glass. Slightly roasted chocolate aroma with some lactic notes that make it smell almost like milk chocolate. Slightly sticky and thick body with a lactic sweetness and smoothness. Hints of mild chocolate and hidden ABV make for a slightly sweet and easy to drink beer that isn't great but not bland, either.

Poured from a growler, yes a glass howler, flashbacks to 2015! Thanks corona for a walk down memory lane. Night black from the early morning, brown foam head that fades. Like the others in the series the aroma features dark roast coffee, but this has an enhanced dark cocoa note, with less soil and more smokey leather in the background. Taste builds on this base, melding chocolate and coffee together with kisses of toasted caramel and vanilla. Feel is more roasted but still frothy, very dark center of gravity. Nice stout, best in series I have had
