Released 3/19/24; drank 4/11/24 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE white head; a thick curtain of strong, frothy tree-rung lacing remained.
Banana, clove & lemon peel notes in the nose.
Soft medium mouthfeel.
Soft wheat & banana flavors up front; mild clove & faint lemon notes on the finish.
This will never be my favorite style, but this is approachable & well made. In a pinch, I'd have another.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Pours a partly-hazy auburn-amber topped by a over a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light lemon zest, banana peel, black pepper, coriander, cracked wheat, and flowers. The taste brings in more of the same, with more lemon flavor, some clove (Erik Estrada: "There he is!"), and a touch of bubblegum in the background. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. A pretty nice hef, but not one that's gonna stick with you later on in the week.

Aroma is wheat/grains, spices and cloves. The flavor is citrus, fruit, wheat, cloves and a slightly spicy/smooth finish.

L: clouded orange-yellow bier is capped by a fluffy ivory colored head
S: clove, banana, bread, wheat, citrus
T: bold clove, bready yeast, milder banana, cracked wheat, lemony citrus
F: medium body, ample carbonation, lots of clove notes riding out the sweeter finish
O: I like my Hefeweizen yeast esters to have more clove notes than banana notes, but this was a little too much clove ester for me
