German chocolate cake-inspired imperial stout conditioned on pecans, coconut, vanilla and cocoa nibs. A thick, luxuriant body is met with all the decadence of a fudgy chocolate cake covered in pecans and toasted coconut flakes.

Taste: rich, intense, German chocolate cake notes, sweet, vanilla, thick, boozy. Same with the sweet chocolate nose. Black/brown hue, not much head, Opaque Barrel aged film on glass. Full body. A sipper for sure.

Had on tap. Pitch black pour with a brown head. Typical german chocolate cake stout nose with more emphasis on the coconut and chocolate. Taste is the same, vanilla and coconut do well to cut the chocolate fudge richness and the pecan nuttiness, but it is very sweet. Feel is medium bodied, viscous, finishes sweet but stops short of cloying, and is terrifyingly good at hiding the 14% abv. Just a little less residual sweetness and this would be prime. Dessert anyone? Better yet, barrels anyone?
