A collaboration with Pure Project, this imperial stout was aged for 22 months in Weller bourbon barrels that were used to barrel-age maple syrup. We received these freshly dumped barrels and filled them with an incredible collaboration stout recipe. The resulting liquid is a syrupy thick stout with delightful maple undertones.

Had on tap. Pitch black pour with a brown ring. So many blis maple syrup BA stouts miss the mark on capturing the depth of the barrel, not so here. Maple, dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, and oak combine to make a warm boozy and lush nose. Taste adds a whisper of wet earth, chocolate cake batter to define the dark chocolate more, and a hint of leather, not sure how they could do this barrel and stout base better justice. Feel is warm, smooth, viscous, sticky, and heavy. Lovely stout for a cold fall night
