Bartlett Maibock is our latest lager that pays homage to our future taproom in the heart of downtown Bartlett. This German-Style Maibock balances the rich, bready malt core with assertive hops for a dry and celebratory finish. Like other springtime beers, the hop character is balanced toward floral and earthy making it a bold and lively lager that's worth celebrating with your friends and family.

On tap. White head. Clear golden color.
Toasted crackers, biscuity, malty, grassy. Smooth, pretty strong for a Maibock. Some grassy hops. Very enjoyable.

Had on tap. Clear bronze body with a white head. Smells of flowers, bright sweet malts, orange zest, and biscuit. Taste has a kiss of caramel in the sweet and doughy malts, floral and zest notes are reserved for the finish, slight mineral water in the background with a hint of fruit. Feel is malty and smooth yet has a clean and moderately crisp finish, springy.

First More Brewing beer, took a chance with a favorite style.
16 oz. can with no clear dating found, 6.2 ABV, poured into my tall Becher.
L -- Clear, deep gold with a sudsy, off-white head that holds up well and leaves good lacing.
S -- Mellow, herbal hops and light, doughy malts.
T -- A quick hit of herbal hops up front that folds into doughy, bready, lightly sweet malts. Herbal hops in the aftertaste and into finish. Lightly bitter and well-balanced.
M -- Mouthfeel is soft to crisp with a chewy, light-medium body.
O -- Great rendition of what I expect in a Maibock; rich malt without being cloying and just the right noble hop character and bitterness in balance.
Will definitely grab one or two more 4-packs.

Aroma is German lager yeast, berry malts and a hint of sweetness/vanilla. The flavor is mild fruit, lager yeast and a beery malt/slightly spicy hop finish.

Poured into a chalice.
Very bready, biscuity. Nice malt character and the hops on the back end balance well. Very true to the style.
