She’s a gorgeous imperial stout aged for an extended 22 months in a timbering cacophony of Blanton’s and Barton 1792 bourbon barrels. We then conditioned her on a heap of toasted coconut, cacao nibs and Ugandan vanilla beans. If we’re being completely honest, this has to be one of the most coconut-forward stouts we have ever done… sweet and silky coconut sodden darkness mingles with a cyclone of chocolate and vanilla that is reminiscent of pink bourbon gelato and freshly caramelized creme brûlée, all the while maintaining that heavy barrel character.

Black body, brown head. In all aspects, the coconut is big without obnoxious flakes, hooray! Smell has bourbon barrel backed vanilla, coconut and chocolate in that order of intensity. Taste has the coconut and vanilla up front, before big bourbon with chocolate, barrel and molasses support adding depth. Sweet but classic leaning with the stout accoutrements.
