Dark caramel colored pour, big frothy khaki head lingers, and leaves some nice lacing. Nose gets some bready notes and some hops. Nice solid texture, long lasting carbonation. Decent enough, plus it's local.

16oz can, no apparent freshness date
thanks to Ken for giving me a can to try!
L: crazy tall beige head caps a brown colored ale
S: caramelized grain, bread crust, earthy/piney hops
T: bread crust, caramel, toffee, faint vanilla, booze; hops are very bitter with notes of earthy pine and zesty citrus
F: full body, alcohol is warming, ample carbonation, finishes very bitter with some residual sweetness
O: definitely an American Barleywine with its potent bitterness. This was good, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to get it again
