Pours black, like oil with a frothy tan head. HEad gives way to nice lacing. Nose is toasted malt, and also somewhat some pine. Taste is char and slightly cocoa. Nice bitterness on backend.

16oz can; no apparent freshness date
thanks to Ken for the can!
L: foamy khaki head holds great retention atop a cola colored ale
S: roast, char, fruit, citrus
T: dank piney & grapefruity hops meet roasted barley and dark grain with notes of dark chocolate, anise, dark fruit, cola, dark roast coffee, and orange zest
F: medium body, very resinous, pungently bitter, dry finish with roast and pine lingering
O: this was so delicious. I’ll have to hit up one of their breweries and get some more. Love its piney bitterness complemented with roasted barley.

Released 12/22/23; drank 1/8/24 @ the Yarchives.

Brown/black appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE tan head; strong, frothy tree-rung lacing remained.

Medium roast coffee bean & orange peel notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Orange citrus flavors up front; medium roast coffee bean & some pine notes on the finish.

Yep, standard Black IPA vibes here; it's slightly above average.
