Gorgeously clear, dark amber brown pour and the appearance is likewise in the glass; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick, off-white head, dense and semi-creamy look. Fantastic nose; rich toasted malts; toffee. Classic doppelbock richness of flavor; lightly spicy malt sweetness, rich and earthy; toffee; roasted nuts; mild bitterness undercurrent. Heavy body; sticky and velvety on the palate; great low-key underlying warmth permeates the beer.
It is hard to beat a classic German style brewed here in the United States. More Brewing Co. nailed their version a strong German lager. Well-balanced and flavorful with a residual stickiness at the finish that allows all of those dark, rich flavors to linger on your palate.

16 ounce can, no dating I could find on the label or can. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a Teku, the beer pours a mahogany brown color with around an inch tan head that stayed around for a long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toffee, toasted malt, brown sugar, raisins and some dark bread. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some herbalness and caramel flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy and enjoyable to drink. I liked this doppelbock a lot, definitely worth picking up if you come across some!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little doppel pours a
very dark mahogany with a very nice head of khaki foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some mighty fine lacing. Nose of
brown sugars, dark bread, subtle cherry, and subtle herbal notes. Flavors hit
the mark with dark raisin bread, bread crust, cherry, light herbal hop elements,
and a nicely balanced brown sugar / caramel finish. Mouth feel is medium,
medium light carbonation that is perfect for the style, and a moderately sweet
and nicely balanced finish.
Overall-----a SOLID straightforward brew keeping within the boundaries.
If you can do the classics well the rest of the portfolio is indeed one to be tried!
Cheers

Aroma is yeast, slightly burnt malts and sweet caramel. The flavor is fruit, slightly grainy/burnt malts, oily texture and a big sweet caramel finish.
