500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 1/31/25. Also had at Fobab 2024.
Pours near black and opaque, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, maple, some vanilla and oak. Flavors of bourbon, roasted malt, maple, chocolate, light vanilla and oak. Smooth, a little creamy, an excellent full body, appropriately carbonated.
Quite delicious. The barrels are stunningly good, the base is excellent and the maple is really good without being overdone or overly sweet. A great effort. This was an eye- catcher at Fobab, too.

Black stout pour, no head save a brown ring. Huge barrels in the nose with tones of bourbon, rye, soaked dark oak, maple, molasses, rich chocolate, and supporting caramel, vanilla, and char flakes. Taste is much the same though the maple does step up more, but make no mistake this is deep in the usual stout trappings in addition to the rich barrels. Smooth and full without being syrupy, chewy, warm, thick yet shows off the barrels. Really impressed
