Yields an amber color with a big, fine pored head.
Smells almost like straight up Bourbon with a note of caramel and lighter hay.
Has a lower carbonation with a pleasant softness to it, together with a vivid finish, making this perfectly refreshing while showcasing a heavier body at the same time.
Tastes of barrel wrapped toffee, offering a prominent spiciness, sugar glazed apples and oak, together with lighter whipped cream and caramel. Offers even more caramel then, making the beer quite a bit sweeter with opposing wood bark and maintaining, toasty spices. Finishes fudgy, softer and caramel forward.
This is a solid Barrel Aged Ale, which has pretty much nothing to do with an actual Oktoberfestbier at all. The beer itself is quite barrel forward without providing much depth beyond its wooden impact.

Had on tap. I'm starting to feel that BA Oktoberfest... es ist verboten! Seriously though caramel and molasses star, slight acorn, bourbon booze and toasty wood support in the taste, but booze just takes over as it warms. The smell has mostly bourbon booze, caramel malt with a hint of dark wood. Not a do over, the feel is pretty boozy and thins a bit is the biggest emblematic issue. Clear amber body with a large oatmeal covered head
