Pours a rich mahogany brown color that looks clear, with a foamy tan head that linger a bit and provides moderate lacing.
The nose is boozy and oaky up front courtesy of the barrel, and there’s also some stone fruit and gobs of rich toffee.
The toffee flavors are more prominent on the taste and absolutely delicious, with some oak and booze and dark cherry flavors following. Wow.
The mouthfeel is full and verges on creamy, perfect for this big BA doppelbock. Truly a pleasure to drink.

L: Crystal clear caramel color, decent tan head and some spotty lacing.
S: Malty aroma, some booze.
T: Some fruit, candy and malt.
F: It felt thin, but maybe correct for the style.
O: I think this is very good.

Aroma is toasted malts, fruit and close to pure Buffalo Trace/bourbon. The flavor is fruit, toasty malts/grains and a warming alcoholic/big Bourbon/still distinct Buffalo Trace finish.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. A 2024 release, had on 12/20/24.
Pours a fairly clear amber color, with a brief quarter inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of caramel, malt, brown bread, light bourbon, a little oak. Mostly the same flavors: malt, bourbon, some caramel- more as it warms, some bread when fully warmed, light oak. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
Has a great aroma, and a good flavor that is less intense than the nose, other than the barrels. Less malty and robust than others, but still very enjoyable.
