Quickly taking the beer scene by storm, More Brewing captivates the hearts of stout lovers with their Henna- a pastry styled imperial stout decorated with various dessert items to satisfy both the kid and adult in all of us.
Cookies & Cream Henna does no different. After pouring jet black and with the viscosity of tar, the stout casts a creamy and dense mocha whipped froth and a billowing scent of fresh baked brownie, heavy cream, french vanilla, coffee and cocoa. A quick slather of the tongue brings the intense malty sweet taste of cake batter, dark chocolate, vanilla, cream, wafers and burnt sugars ahead of a more savory and balancing bite of espresso, light smoky flavor, hints of soilish bitterness and peppery heat. A late charge of kahlua and cream leads to a long and sweetened espresso aftertaste.
Henna isn’t your average pastry stout. It’s a balanced beer with a heavy malt leaning edge. Shy of cloying, the session ends with a satisfied sweet tooth and a yearning for a few more ounces than what’s needed.

Aroma is Oreo cookies and a hint of cream, not quite as strong as expected. The flavor is fruit, dark malts, Oreo cookies l/cream and an acidic/slightly vinous/warming alcoholic finish.
