12oz draft pour into a stubby bulbous pint glass displays a clear, dark, ruddy amber body and floats a persistent 1/16in cream colored head that easily reappears with agitation.
Aroma is subtle but all malt.
The flavor is where the "light rye spice" appears and it sets this fine specimen apart from the usual red ale. No hop bitterness, a biscuit maltiness, and that is all.
Mouthfeel is just barely medium with a clean finish.
Overall probably not all day drinkable, because you will need to get some hops, but it certainly won't hurt you.
