Taste: bold spicy, bready, sweet, oak, woody, boozy whiskey bite with a slight sticky warming finish. Same with the nose. Deep copper color, clear, smaller head and lace due to Barrel aging. Full body. This Quad taste like more alcohol then even 11%, it is a sipper to enjoyed slowly.

16 ounce can into a chalice. Canned 7/10/18, Had 6/28/19.

Pours a medium amber, fairy cloudy, with a half inch head and no real lacing. Aromas of bourbon, malt, caramel, figs, dates, raisins, tobacco, oak. Flavors of malt, bourbon, caramel, figs, raisins, dates, tobacco, light vanilla. Smooth, a good medium to full body, appropriately carbonated.

Good aromas and flavors, the Koval barrels are excellent a less fruity but good rendition of the style. Enjoyable.

16oz can dated 07/10/18 released for first year anniversary.

The reddish-cola tinted body floats virtually nothing but whisps of tiny bubbles and leaves running spots of lacing.

Aromas include booze, ash, and leather.

Flavors match adding molasses, caramel, tobacco, stone fruit, bourbon, vanilla, sweet cherry, and hints of cardamum and cinnamon. Sweetness up front and booze on the back.

Mouthfeel is medium and leaning full. A booze warmth follows the swallow and a slight taste of stone fruit and leather lingers.

Overall a well crafted quad and a fitting anniversary beer.
