Imperial rye kolsch aged nine months in Weller bourbon barrels.
12oz draft pour shows a cloudy orange, bronze body and briefly floats a 1/4 in head of cream colored tight bubbles leaving random spots and clumps of lacing.
Muted aroma is malt forward with hints of bourbon and stone fruit.
Taste is a nice mix of fruity, nutty malts, spicy yeast, and bourbon. No booze warmth.
Light feel that clears the palate cleanly.
Overall a nice rye sipper with something to think about.
