12 month Jeppson Bourbon Barrel aged Maple Imperial Stout ABV: 10% IBU: 20
We took a rich Imperial stout and aged it for a full year in a 4 year Kentucky Bourbon Barrel (Jeppson Bourbon). The last 2 months of its aging we rested it on maple within the barrel for a big sticky breakfast feel. The results were huge notes of Bourbon, oak, vanilla, maple, caramel and chocolate.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Released 12/2022, had 3/17/23.
Pours a mostly opaque dark brown, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, maple, bourbon, vanilla, some oak. Similar flavors: maple, malt, vanilla, bourbon, light oak. Smooth, a very good lighter full body, well carbonated.
Pretty straightforward, but good. The maple is prominent, but not overdone or overly sweet. The barrels are noticeable and the base is good.
