This saison borrows much from the witbier tradition. Specifically, a measure of bitter orange peel and a bounty of coriander assume a defining role. The customary sourness or mustiness of the more farmhouse varieties is underplayed here, making this something of a wheatless wit. It is copper tinged with a white head of lumpy froth. Taste parameters are bold. Coriander features prominently but notes of ginger, nutmeg, and peppercorn also emerge. The smell even has a flash of marshmallow to it.
A good spice rack beer with relatively low acidity. And not at all shy. 6.2% ABV.
