Our house Pilsner is named after our location in Historic Downtown Long Grove. This golden lager has a rich bready flavors with slight notes of hoppiness. It's a great session beer for watching Cubs, Bears and Hawks games.

Stumbled on this beer by sheer accident in Kenosha, WI. Funny thing is, the brewery (brew-pub) is closer to my home than Kenosha! Didn't know they were canning, had to give it a try.
16 ounce cans in a 4-pack. "Birthed" 09/12/18 ink-jetted to the can's underside. Poured into my short Becher.
L -- Lightly hazy, deep gold color with a very dense, off-white head. Upped the points for the very stubborn head that lasted to the end of the drink.
S -- Doughy breadiness up front. Light herbal hoppiness back.
T -- Lightly harsh, graininess up front with mild herbal hops behind. Some light sour astringency in the finish with bitter hops in the aftertaste.
F -- Mouthfeel is soft to lightly dry -- even a touch of syrupiness. Body is medium.
O -- Not exactly to my expectations of a Czech Pils; the haziness and harsh graininess are not to-style. The hop character is nice -- being more traditional than modern, but the lack of good, clean malt flavor pushes this down a few levels for me. The brewery is new, so maybe bugs are being worked out. Have to keep my eyes open for this in the future. Upped the points a little for being a pretty flavorful beer at 4.5 ABV.
