along with their stout, this is probably the best beer in here right now. its a little hazy, super fresh and juicy, and as much as its not super difficult to make a beer like this, it seems the most dialed in of their recipes in the early going, and was a darn tasty glass of beer after a long and exhausting mountain expedition. golden and foamy, lots of bubbles, strong citra type hop aroma, but there must be a number of varietals at work here, i get grapefruit peel, lemon juice, and peach or something sweeter. nice round mix of hop flavors, and good bitterness to finish. there is very little grain interference here, a light floral honey note in the middle is all, no heft on the body either, and this one drinks down dry and easy for its strength. this isnt overly original, but it hits all the marks of a good ipa for me these days, and i would recommend this one over a lot of other colorado ipa types already. juicy and bright and fresh and west coasty with just a little haze to it, its a solid offering and something these guys can build from i think.
