A clear, chestnut colored body with orange and crimson highlights is capped by a short lived head of off-white foam. The nose is malty, toasty and nutty. Quite welcoming! Its medium-full bodied; and in combination with its very fine, natural carbonation it gently caresses the tongue before fading smoothly away. The flavor is as the aroma suggests with a rich, toffee and caramel-like maltiness thats superbly balanced by a firm but unobtrusive bitterness. It's alcohol is never particularily noticeable; and it finishes dry with a short-lingering note of toffee-ish malt. Quite an interesting and enjoyable beer that satisfies with its richness but still retains a very good amount of drinkability.
