Funky looking apple cider pour, and the white head died like a ice cube on a hot sidewalk.
Sour apple mash aromas, malty but thin. A well charged, semi-sour quaff. Reminds me of a basic pilsner but with a touch of Belgium yeast in it. Finishes dry, and with only 6.5%, I could see drinking a few of these on a hot day in Europe wont see these over here in the U.S.

And this was a very fresh brew, thanks to my great son, studying overseas in Amsterdam. I was brought this for the unique chance to enjoy direct from the brewer.

This beer pours a orange golden color with quite a lot of carbonation for a maibock and a small head.
Smell was sweet with distinct honey notes and caramellic (amber malt) hints. There was a strange odor that was not very nice and reminded me of a sewer. However this was in the background and not very disturbing, but well noticable.
Taste was sweet and sticky, with some flowery and grainy notes. Again the caramellic notes like a lot of amber/ victory malt has been used. There is very little bitterness and this all fits the description of a maibock, but for me it is all a bit too sweet and not very outspoken.

Pours in a golden colour, reasonable head, slowly diminshing during the drink. My noise immediately recognise anise, a surprising ingredient for this kind of beer. Further nice hops and of course malt (Dutch maibocks are rich with malts). Also a touch of coriander and some fruitiness. The taste is bitter/light sweet with flavours of hops and malts. Spring Bock has a medium body and a low/normal carbonation. A very dry, astringent mouthfeel, with a dry, hopbitter long finish.
Reasonable beer, slightly different than the usual Dutch maibocks.
