At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 500mL in a pint glass. From my favourite but now closed The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. Best before July 2026. Mine, here in Canada, is 8.0% ABV. My second beer from the Lieshout, Netherlands brewery, and for 2025. With Gracie the cat, elegant and regal as ever (when she doesn't have the zoomies, and acts like she should be committed lol)...

Pours a jet black with a finger of clumpy white head. Also leaves a nice lacing on the glass long after the head as disappeared.
Smells of normal malt but there was something else there that I couldn't identify at first, after tasting it I realized it was definitely molasses which I presume is responsible for the dark colour.
The taste is dominated by that molasses, in a good way. Starts off with molasses then fades into the malty flavours that you would normally get in a lager.
For this being nearly 8 percent, it hides it very well. There isn't a strong taste of alcohol that you would expect but you definitely feel the warmth which is exactly what I would want from a high ABV lager.
Overall this was absolutely delicious. Flavourful and super drinkable for something with such high ABV.
