Can 0.5 L. (2012)
Clear, amber body with a small, frothy, off-white head, fully diminishing with virtually no lacing; almost no bubbles is visible.
Light malty aroma with evident notes of alcohol-related spices.
Sweet flavour dominated by a harsh (and annoying) alcoholic character.
Light-to-medium body with an oily texture; flat carbonation; moderate-to-heavy alcoholic warming in the finish.

650 ml very dark blueish green bottle, bought in France. ABV is 7.9%. Golden colour, large lasting head, decent lacing. Malty and fruity aroma with some alcoholic notes, but not unpleasant. Hints of oak and leather. Flavour is very sweet, but surprisingly it is not as repulsive as many other (often less sweet) golden strong lagers. Tolerable hops obviously contribute to a (nearly) acceptable balance. Moderate carbonation. I’ve had worse beers.

Served from a 500 ml can into a goblet. Bought in a supermarket in Madrid, Spain.

A - Beer is a bit darker than a typical mass-market lager, edging into gold or orange. It is perfectly clear. The head is pure white and fluffy at first, but fades quickly.

S - It smells like a middle-of-the-road lager, with some noble hops and pilsner grain. Then there is a hit of orange that blends with the hops. The alcohol is not detectable.

T - There is some noble hops flavor and a bit of bitterness followed by grainy pilsner malt. I still get a bit of orange and some sweetness, but it is muted. No alcohol flavor.

M - Medium to heavy body. Carbonation is low. Alcohol burn is not detectable.

O - Overall, this beer has surprisingly little flavor or character for something of 7.9% alcohol. Other than the heavy body, there is not much to tell you that you're not drinking a standard Euro-lager. There are no flaws in it, but nothing outstanding either, except maybe the dangerously undetectable alcohol.
