Very solid American sour. Has great funk and nice complexity from the oak and merlot. Still pretty mild.whicn is pleasant and balances well with most food. Only complaint is it is a bit thin.

This one pours a mostly clear straw yellow color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like generic saison yeast, oak, slight acidity, and floral aromas.
This is pretty basic- the yeast used doesn't seem to give off much that's expressive or complex. It's lightly tart, slightly lemony and grassy, but just doesn't jump out of the glass in any way.
This is light bodied, crisp and fairly clean, with a decent level of drinkability.
I've heard really good things about the E9 sours and saisons- this didn't wow me too much.

375mL (April 2016) into a tulip. Pours a hazy coppery amber w/ a big fluffy white head, great retention.
Aroma is tart and vinous, bready, sweet.
Taste is likewise bready and a mix of sweet and sour, oaky, vinous. Great balance of a complex array of flavors going on.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, balanced, w/ a semi-dry finish.
Overall a really well-built, complex saison/wild ale.

Bottle number B1, hand-numbered. Tasted 28 May 2016.
Pours golden apple-juice orange, clear since I left the sediment in the bottle. Dense, persistent off-white head, forming a creamy layer over the top even after it's relaxed.
Smell is bright, herbal, rather faint. Yeast, light grape aromas. Nice, not amazing.
Taste is quite good, though a bit of a mis-matched hodgepodge. I get some vinous notes like a semi-dry white wine, some floral and pungent yeasty character. Lots of good components, which could be amazing if they were smoothly blended. They clash a bit, leaving it still very good, but much less than it could be.
Feel... this beer takes me on an adventure. Starts out slow and chill, a little on the flat side. Then it rises up, vibrant and energetic. Stays on that high, dancing on, before slowly fading down like a sunset. No, I'm not exaggerating.
Good stuff, could be so much better if the flavors could harmonize more. Feel is incredible.
