Appearance This one poured a dirty orange in color with a moderate head.
Smell This has the classic PacNW hop profile of big citrus and light but sharp pine with just a hint of balancing malts.
Taste The big citrus hops carried the day here. I could pick up some caramelly malt, but not enough to call it balancing.
Mouthfeel This IPA is medium-bodied. It has some dryness to it, but this happens strangely in the middle of the drink and gives way to a sugary-sweet finish that seems out of place.
Drinkability This is an honest attempt at a balanced PacNW IPA. I really enjoyed the hop structure but thought the malt half of the ale was lacking.
