Tallboy from the LCBO; coded G2122 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear, pale straw yellow colour, initially topped with one finger of bubbly, soapy white head that sizzles off within the next ninety seconds or so. Its remnants include a frothy collar and some filmy wisps on the surface, but there's little in the way of lace. Plain to look at, and the aroma only reinforces that train of thought - it's mildly grainy and corny, with hints of hay and apples. On the plus side, it smells quite clean.
Not bad at all - graininess and corn cereal are the dominant flavours, but I'm also getting notes of grain husk and tortilla chip towards the back end. Hints of grassiness and lemon, finishing with a corny tortilla sweetness that persists into the aftertaste. Light in body, with moderately assertive carbonation that lends a prickly, somewhat frothy crispness to the mouthfeel; it's refreshing, and super easy to knock back.
Final Grade: 3.56, a serviceable B grade. As an adjunct lager, Riverhead's Cerveza is well above average, i.e. practically on par with your typical craft pale lager - ok sure, it's a little corny, but that sort of comes with the 'Mexican lager' territory. Besides, it's way better than Corona. Not something I'd deliberately look for, but I'd drink it again.

Pours pale straw coloured with a small bright white head. Not much in the smell dept. perhaps a little apple a little corn. The taste is smooth, malty with a nice corny aftertaste that lingers after the swallow. Just a run of the mill beer, but definitely better than a Sol or a Corona
