Can from Whole Foods on the UES NYC. Pours a murky muted gold with a finger of bubbly white head, moderate lacing, smell is cantaloupe, pineapple, and coconut, hints of citrus and marshmallow, taste is kiwi skin, coconut husk, bill’s eye candy, cantaloupe, underripe pineapple, a sort of vegetal green bitter woody stick character at the end, feel is full bodied and creamy. A fruity and uniquely bitter brew from the Borough of Parks.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tasting glass.

Beautiful, opaque yellow-mud beer with very light head.
Vibrant fruit pops from the glass and slams into my nose with a tropical velvet fist. More please.
Beer candy. Incredibly sweet, rich, deep, and delicious. Some hoppy-piny notes, but mostly pineapple juice. And peaches.
Aftertaste is lightly dry.
Wonderful beer, exemplar of the DNEIPA style, hugely recommended.

A: The beer is cloudy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of orange citrus and peaches are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of orange and grapefruit citrus with notes of pineapples and lingering notes of grapefruit in the finish. Little if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied, "juicy," and even faintly "chewy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This Imperial IPA does a very good job at masking any traces of alcohol from the smell or taste.
