Thanks to Russpowell for this one.
Amber to chestnut in hue with a sandy head that is loosely packed and leaves a slight lacing.
Nose is a nice melange of hops and malts. I'm glad I didn't look this on up first. Definitely presents as an American Barleywine. Piney and a tad earthy on the start with a firm malt bill: caramel, dates, and figs.
Flavor follows the nose well with a dry bitterness that stands firm, then makes way for the malt to come in subtly sweet, almost like a driveway of low sweetness to carry the earthy piney bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, low carb, and a smooth, malty slick delivery of a bitter finish.

Pours an effervescent & chill-hazed orange/hazel with one finger of eggshell colored head. Below average head retention & lacing
S: Cakey, piney, caramel
T: Follows the nose, pretty darn dry, a touch of leafy hops & figgyness up front. Dryness, pineyness, & toffee as this beer warms through. Finishes dry, cakey & piney with a little pineapple showing up at the very end
MF: Chewy, low carbonation, good balance. Carbonation picks up, once warm
Good take on the style, drinks easy for the ABV
