L: Had this beer on-tap Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a pint glass. Had a reddish, almost purple color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of off white, foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Average lacing.
S: A decent, if slightly muted, aroma of berries, Belgian yeast, stone fruit, and some fruity esters.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of Belgian yeast (a nice base of it), a bit of fruity esters (apricots, especially), a good amount of the advertised blackcurrants, and some cherry notes. A pretty good flavor, but it like the aroma, it's a bit muted. It's not quite as funky as a typical saison flavor, but rather is an interesting variation.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven, but somehow likable. Worth a try.
