The beer pours as flowing and foamy white head that dissipates at a moderate pace but leaves quite a bit of floatsam on the surface when it goes away. The beer itself is a clear pale gold that looks very nice.
The smell is pretty good. It has a variety of notes that make it very busy but still rather good. The strong notes are the spicey and earthy bitter pine hop notes balanced by a caramel malt note. It also has a somewhat overbearing smoke note that adds a nice variety to the other notes.
The taste roughly follows the smell but tends more to a stronger hop presence with a caramel note coming in at the end.
The body is good. It has a medium body and it isn't as clean feeling but there is a bit of that feeling there. It has a biting carbonation with a fairly dry finish at the end.
Overall, a pretty good lager.
