Served in a 16 oz (473 ml) snifter glass at the Eastern Front Brewery in Mattituck, NY.
A: Pours a ruddy brown, like cherry wood, with a one finger, wheat color head, a half finger of retention, and somewhat modest lacing.
S: Aromas of cherry, berry, fig, raisin, and like coriander.
T: More semisweet than semidry. Flavors of cherry, fig, raisin, and toffee. Perhaps a ripe banana note. Solid, but extremely well balanced bitterness.
M: Medium bodies with moderate to strong carbonation. Tingly on the palate.
O: I have been a bit critical of Eastern Front beers in the past. This was brewed as part of the Craft Aid initiative and is absolutely, positively delicious: I told them it should be a flagship.
