Wow this is a great looking black IPA! Tried this one on tap at City Built. Looks incredible, deep dark black opaque color with a nice tan cap of head and sheets of lingering lacing that coated the sides of the glass. Smells disappointingly faintly of some muddled fruity hops, malt, bread and caramel. I was expecting it to be more hop-forward. Tastes similarly, but with more punch and flavor - but still the bitter hoppiness could have been stronger. Smooth, clean, mild mouthfeel and good carbonation. All in all, a solid beer but I wish it had been more hoppy - would have loved to have seen a great tasting hoppy black/dark beer.
