Very nice, slightly tart beer purchased fresh via crowler from this great local brewery. Pours a beautiful dark purple almost opaque color with some lighter purple head and small rings of lingering lacing. Big aromas of tart blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and maybe some strawberries. Also some vanilla, faint floral hops and grain. Taste follows the nose, excellent balance and acidity. Not too puckeringly tart. Smooth, mild mouthfeel with great carbonation. A very enjoyable and thirst quenching beer.

T - The taste is blackberry, black currant, raspberries, vanilla and some light lacto funk.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

Great dark red hue with slight head. Not much on the nose, catch a little blackberry. Tastes delicious, fruity and slight tartness. The lactose gives it a creamy smoothie feel.

At around $3 for a single 16 oz can, this beer is a great value and a must-try. Beautiful deep purple/red, very thin head. Berry pucker, very smooth, like velvet. Fruit is rich without being overpoweringly sour, balanced nicely by the lactose. This is a crusher, great fruited berliner.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/21/2019. Pours very hazy dark ruby red/purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blackberries, black currant, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blackberries, currants, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy blackberries, black currant, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blackberries, black currant, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, currants, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an amazing milkshake sour! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, currants, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Extremely flavorful for the ABV. Amazing balance of huge jammy fruit and Lacto complexity; with lactose, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing top tier style example.
