Bottle on RBSG Bus, courtesy of Craig. Medium amber pour, small white lasting head. Nice saison notes with some savory, herbal accents.Taste too is kind of buttery, spicy, yeasty. A bit musty, nice body and slow lingering finish.

Hazy copper with a slight orange hue....really dark for any kind of saison. Not quite a 1 finger head and retention is not the best. There's almost no aroma out of this one...slight fruitiness (pear, apple, orange) and a touch of Belgian yeast and some caramel. This has a nice flavor but is not falling in the saison category. This is very close to a bier de garde....labelled as a Grand Saison...maybe this is more like an imperial class. It is rich and caramelly...some nice Belgian notes. Feels really flat as the carbo almost completely dissipates. Overall this is a decent beer but needs to be called something different. Rating it lower because it doesn't match the style but with some more carbonation this could a great beer and maybe tweaked so it can qualify as a bier de garde.

[Original rating 2017-10-07] Bomber from the brewery store. Pours clear copper with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, earth, apple, pear, banana. Taste is sweet caramel, malt, with a fruity finish. Not bad but not what I expected in a saison.

Loved it. Has juniper berries as well as coriander, it's also finished with oak. Super well balanced flavors, and I can finally say I like Saison.
