This English Nut Brown Ales is super smooth and creamy. Notes of caramel, light chocolate, and a very subtle nuttiness dominate this well balanced, crushable Seven Grain brew. Norther Brewer, Fuggles, EKG, and Liberty make up the hop profile.

Brown ales don't get a lot of attention, but they can be pretty good. This one certainly is. Nicely balanced with a bit of malty sweetness and just a touch of bitterness on the back end. Definitely getting the caramel flavor from this one, though the smell doesn't give that away necessarily. But it's what a brown ale should be.

Pours a medium brown color, clear, darker brown inside the glass; thick, sudsy head, khaki colored. Outstanding moderately roasted grain aroma; light cocoa and brown sugar; roasted nuts. Rather weak and watery flavor; very little roasted grain flavor; hop bitterness presence is practically nil. Medium-light body; also weak and watery.
From great looks and aroma to so-so taste and mouthfeel. For a low-ABV beer, though, it'll do (4.7% ABV on the can, 4.4% currently in the database, and 5% currently listed on the brewery's On Tap web page). It's also labeled as an 'English Style Brown Ale; on the can and as an 'English Nut Brown Ales (sic)' on brewery's on tap page.
Pouring temperature: 43.2 ℉; canning info: n/a
