The name Černá Díra means "Black Hole" in Czech and just like the amazing caves throughout the world this beer is smooth, dark, deep, and crisp with notes of Chocolate and subtle roast. Just a delicious, classic, dark lager. Na Zdravi!

This was a very well made beer. It's nice and dark but not overly bitter or smoky, and not too heavy at all. It's not quite a porter, so they kept to the style well and didn't deviate and try to make it something it's not. This is a fall/winter seasonal from the looks of it and I'd be perfectly happy if it was a year-round offering.

From Beer Drop. No dating that I can find.
It pours a very dark brown with a finger of off white foam. It has good lacing.
Smells of chocolate, roasted malt, burnt malt, maybe a little smoke?
Taste is chocolate, roasted malt, hint of smoke, grain, interesting light bitterness. Very tasty.
Medium bodied with the right amount of carbonation.
Pretty impressive Czech Dark Lager.
Btw, my can says it is 4.8% abv.

Dark brown where light passes through the edge. Minor head but it retains a film of bubbles throughout the tasting. Minimal thin streaks and small spots on the glass for lace.
Dark semisweet chocolate aroma with a touch of dry caramel. Light chalkiness.
Weak start to the taste but the swallow and finish bring out the dark, deeply roasted (nearly burnt) malt. The hop is light but adds to the bitterness. The body is thin as it should be for a dark label. The carbonation is moderate, perhaps even a little low for the style. The aftertaste retains the flavor for a few seconds. Overall, a decent Dunkel.
