Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Smells of coffee and a bit of chocolate. Tastes of chocolate and coffee, very nice combination. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Poured from an undated 12oz can.
On the pour, a tan head forms at about 1 finger, but retention isn't fantastic. Body is a deep, dark brown, and is essentially black.
Aroma is malty and chocolatey, but an almost lager like yeast character is present that also brings some berry aromas. There is a mineralic smell, and there isn't as much sweet roast as I'd like. Dry and yeasty. A bit too bright.
Flavor keeps some of that mineralic flavor, but also brings a nutty and bitter roast barley that dissapears fast. The yeast character is still present but brings out some of the nutty flavors. Despite that it comes off as a bit watered down and one note, but at the same time lacks the mellowness I'm looking for.
Feel is surprisingly light, even for an Irish dry stout. Almost watery up front before a subtle dry finish comes in with some malty undertones. Extremely dry.
Overall this is alright, but not something to write home about. I feel like I could've been harsher, but tried to stay objective. I want body enveloping, yet mild maltiness featuring some chocolate notes. Not simultaneously watery, but very roasted grain.

This was a very good dry stout - not super bitter, and low enough alcohol that I left thinking "if Guinness was better, it would taste like this". Not chalky or overly dry, despite the style, and just a little bit of chocolate flavor in there somewhere. This was my first offering from them and it won't be my last.
