Like a jaunt through an autumn forest, this Märzen lager encapsulates the senses with crisp, clean aromas of soft toasted breads and brown sugar. Deep malt tones of slight toffee and caramel fall across your palate like the changing leaves. Subtle cocoa and raisin notes envelope your taste buds before a crisp lager finish. But like the Autumnal harvest and Fall, this classy festbier won’t be around long!

Clear, dark reddish copper body; dense carbonation; big, thick, creamy head, off-white and sticky. Gorgeous deep malt aroma; light caramel peppered with sweet esters. Fine malt backbone flavor; very light toffee; subtle hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; glass smooth; lip-smacking residual sugar stickiness.
A tad light on the märzen flavor, but otherwise a nice autumnal seasonal beer.

This is their Oktoberfest/marzen, and it's very good. I prefer my marzens to be breadier and maltier, whereas this one has more of the spiced hops, but it worked for me anyway. There's a subtle malt backbone behind those hops, and it makes you want to have one around a campfire. Another successful beer from these guys, who can do a wide variety of styles well.
