Built to embrace the warmer days of summer, Gravely Brewing rolls out a tart and refreshing ale that celebrates the vibrant taste of southern peach to hopefully have us dancing in the streets.
Shocking in its near-bright golden chrome appearance, a loose and lofty froth billows to the brim while the sassy scent of peaches play out in a true fruit nature. With a backdrop of cider, wine and honeysuckle, the aromas sing a perfumy tune.
An easy sweetness breaches the taste with an early impression of honey, wafer and creamy wheat with the very first sip.
As the sourness, peach and supporting malts converge on the middle palate, a strong suggestive taste of bellini with hints of honey, white wine and cider. Those basic lime, white grape, green apple and gooseberries carry the taste into an off-sour, simply tart direction. But its the peach that provides the bulk of flavor, hovering gently above the tartness and bringing its own racy zing. Slightly peppery on the late palate, the authentic taste of peach skins, pulp and pith play out with a balancing bite.
Medium light in body but somewhat fuller for sour ale, Peach Tutti Frutti teases with propensity for sourness but stops shy at tartness. Wanting more of the acidity has the beer finishing fruity-tart with a short and spicy pectin bite.
