From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 01-25-22"
Appearance: The body is a medium-pale shade of gold with a lot of cloudiness. There is a medium white head that fizzes out pretty quickly to a flat beer with no head or lacing.
Aroma: It smells like garlic and onion water crackers. There are notes of crushed black pepper and lime on the nose as well.
Taste: Tart lemon flavor comes through up front. Towards the middle there is a bit of white pepper flavor with more lemon, and it finishes with lemon. There is a light herbal aftertaste which is a bit like fresh thyme. At times this popcorn flavor comes through.
Mouthfeel: Tart and light bodied with a pleasant dry finish. A light peppery bite on the tongue in the aftertaste. Very well executed and enjoyable to drink.
Overall: The can states that this "COMBINES LEMONGRASS, GALANGAL, HOLY BASIL, AND THAI BIRD'S EYE CHILIES." It has a bit of a peppery flavor but it comes across more as ground black and white pepper rather than chilies. There is definitely a lot of lemon flavor which could be from the lemongrass. The can also states that it is "INSPIRED BY THAI CUISINE" which it didn't really give me that impression. The ingredients added to the beer seem to overpower it quite a bit, especially what seems to be the lemongrass, but the beer is still very enjoyable. The can claims "SOUR" on the label as well and there is additional tartness to the beer beyond the extra ingredients. I would definitely buy it again and I would recommend it to people who like a lot of spices and herbs in a beer.
