Our staple IPA cleverly balances the tempered power and gentle nature of – say, an imaginary Tiger. Equally, it’s a perfect sidekick for any misadventure. The healthy quantity of oats punches up the creamy texture of the body throughout. Clean bitterness comes in right up front allowing the picture to fade over to a veritable fruit basket of hop aromas. Bold, juicy melon and crisp citrus is backed up with just enough pine to be reminiscent of the West Coast. This IPA is something you need in your life. Plain and simple.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from the University Ave. West LCBO in nearby downtown Windsor. My first beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Oct 12 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy golden colour, its complexion blemished with countless sandy flecks of sediment; situated atop is roughly one finger of soapy, foamy white head. It dissipates within three minutes or so, worn down to a wide collar of creamy frothy surrounding a filmy cap. Subtle aroma that includes hints of apricot, pine forest and candied citrus peel - not bad, but there's not much 'oomph' - at least, not for a dry hopped brew.
Appealing flavour profile - moderately juicy, with fairly low bitterness. I'm tasting melon, stone fruit and grapefruit initially, backed by notes of grainy malts and flaked oat sweetness. More piney & earthy towards the tail end of the sip, with suggestions of berries dissipating into a mildly resiny, dank aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderately lively carbonation that briskly prickles the tongue with each sip, adding a crisp bite to this IPA's smooth mouthfeel. Decent drinkability, but one can is plenty for tonight, thanks.
Final Grade: 3.68, a B grade. Let's Go Exploring is a pretty good IPA, but Ontario is brimming with other pale ales of equivalent quality. In other words - there's nothing explicitly wrong with this beer, it simply blends into the crowd. My only real complaint concerns the aroma, which is too subdued for something that has been dry-hopped - but even that is hardly a deal breaker. I might drink this again at some point, and I wouldn't discourage other BAs from taking a chance on it, but it's not a brew I'd deliberately seek out again.
