Had on tap. Wow, one of the best beers I had on the whole Milwaukee trip. Poured a highly textured and rustic dark brown with fluffy khaki foam. Smell immediately hits you with red wine, wood, red currant, grape, huge toffee, brown sugar, and biscuit. Taste is exactly as the smell would indicate, with a hint of brett, and a smooth sour and vinegar like pucker on the finish with the expected biere de garde sugary elements. Feel is exactly what you want in the style, only a little bready. Very nice work

Tasted in a tall tulip glass from a 750 ml bottle at the 1840 Brewing Company tap room on April 14, 2018. Tart, red wine and toffee aromas and flavors.
