This is actually the "Blackberry" variant from a bottle packaged late summer 2021.
Pretty well-done beer. The nose is jammy red berries - the aroma pops out of the glass. As it settles and from thereon out, the powdery roasty peanut takes a pleasant supporting role that balances but never overpowers the fruit. What's so excellent is that the flavors smell "Real" (I imagine because they are) and not at all synthetic. It's a beautiful fuscia under light. There's mild haze and a towering foamy head the settles slowly into lacing. The taste follows the aroma. However, the peanut wore on me eventually and 16 oz. of it would have been better spread over two or three people. There's also a lingering bitterness that crept up after the first glass. It's tasty and fun and technically sound, but as a concept I think is limited.

Tasted in a tall tulip from draft at 1840 Brewing Company on May 18, 2019. Peanut butter and jelly inspired pastry sour ale brewed with peanuts, raspberry and lactose.
