Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours pale yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet grain, very bright. Tastes of bright grain with some bright fruit. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

great beer, primetime summer drinker, and the name is perfect for a grisette, this was really good. cool packaging too in the little stubby medicine bottle, you dont see these around much. the beer is cool, delicate and drinkable, more belgian and clean than a lot of their others i had on our visit here, some much funk and brett but this seems like clean saison type yeast or else a belgian strain kept pretty cool, the esters are familiar but subtle. this is real pale and bright in the glass, slihgtly cloudy yellow but radiant, high headed too, and very bubbly, looks awesome and there is great head retention. this is dry hopped with nectaron and its evident in the nose, peach and white wine, a bellini vibe without the sweetness, low key but interesting grain mix here too, some rye possible, some unmalted wheat too perhaps, and simple belgian pils type barley at its core, i like the layering and the dryness. the flavor brings big lemon notes up front from both the hops and the yeast, and this has some earthy, vinous, and herbal properties, freshness in a style where thats not usually a factor, the hops add a lot to this. peony, elderflower, white tea, meyer lemon zest, and subtle spiciness from the yeast, white pepper, clove, green banana, and maybe a rye note late. dry as can be, clean on the swallow, the low alcohol, the absence of residual sugar, and the high carbonation all make this extremely drinkable. classic but with a modern twist because of the hops. great beer overall, cool recipe and lovely execution. i was super impressed with 1840 overall!
